Octavia Cade is a New Zealand speculative fiction writer. She’s sold close to 70 short stories to markets including Clarkesworld, Asimov’s, and F&SF, and she particularly enjoys writing stories about the horrific application of science. Her next book, You Are My Sunshine and Other Stories, is due out in September from Stelliform Press. In 2023 she is writer in residence at Canterbury University, where she’s putting together a book of creative nonfiction essays about NZ ecology.
