The Fort Film Rights Optioned

The film rights to Alan Lastufka‘s short story, “The Fort“, have been optioned by Umbrella Pictures.

“The Fort” is set to be produced as a standalone short film. Visit the IMDb page here.

Shortwave will be co-producing “The Fort” with Umbrella Pictures.

Alan Lastufka already wrote a screenplay adaptation with screenwriter Catherine Clark.

And horror director Cameron Gallagher is attached (watch his award-winning short film, “The Rickety Man”, available to stream for free here).

Filming is currently scheduled to begin in spring 2023.

Umbrella Pictures is owned by Rob Jarosinski and is currently producing the queer horror road trip anthology film, Hauntology, with production company Rainbow Swan.
