Shortwave Publishing has acquired Philip Fracassi’s complete short story library ahead of several upcoming film adaptations. Over the next year, Shortwave will publish four collections from Fracassi:

Sony Pictures is set to release SKELETONS, starring Brie Larson and John Goodman and directed by JT Mollner, in June 2027. The film is based on Fracassi’s short story “Fail-Safe” from Behold the Void. The film is being produced by J.J. Abrams at Bad Robot, and Roy Lee at Vertigo Entertainment. Fracassi is an Executive Producer on the project.
A24 has announced their adaptation of “Altar” starring January Jones and Kyle McLaughlan, which hails from Fracassi’s short story of the same name in his collection Behold the Void. The adaptation has wrapped filming and is currently in post-production.
Both features will bring Philip’s short stories to life in a new way, following the publication of his story collections.
All four collections will be distributed by Simon & Schuster in North America, and select titles will be distributed by Melia in the UK.
