Shortwave Publishing has signed a worldwide distribution deal with Simon & Schuster for new titles and select back catalog titles.
New Shortwave titles released after December 1, 2025 will be sold and distributed by Simon & Schuster to Barnes & Noble, Waterstones, Books-a-Million, Amazon, and more, including independent bookstores around the world. These titles will also appear in the S&S catalog and on their website for direct sale.
We will now have a powerful partner in the industry, one of the Big Five, going to bat for our books.
Three and a half years ago we launched with our first title, my debut novel Face the Night. Since then, we’ve published over a dozen new titles every year, ranging from standalone novelettes and chapbooks, to numerous multi-novel series.
We’ve published lettered and numbered limited editions, had our titles adapted for TV/film, been featured in numerous monthly book boxes, and in the last twelve months alone, have gross sales of over a quarter of a million dollars… all while working out of a spare bedroom office with no sales team.
Imagine what we’ll all be able to do together now.
Taking this next step will allow us to further our support and publishing efforts within the speculative fiction community, and to continue to offer the unique horror and dark sci-fi books our readers enjoy.
Simon & Schuster have over 100 years of experience in the industry, sell over a billion dollars in books annually, and have championed some of the most important books of the last century.
It’s a very exciting time for genre fiction right now, and we’re so thrilled to be a small part of it.
