Wilted Pages - Dark Academia Anthology - Ai Jiang and Christi Nogle

Wilted Pages is a new Dark Academia anthology from Shortwave Publishing that takes its inspirations from works such as The Secret History by Donna Tartt, Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro, Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia, Catherine House by Elisabeth Thomas, and The Bone Weaver’s Orchard by Sarah Read.

Gloomy buildings, secret societies, futuristic boarding schools, gothic yet modern aesthetics, and occult learning are just some of the pleasures to be found in this subgenre.

Featured authors include:

The Wilted Pages cover was illustrated by George Cotronis, while the layout and title were designed by Alan Lastufka.

Open submissions run from March 1-31, and you can find the full submission guidelines here.

We’re also launching the Wilted Pages Kickstarter today! This is your opportunity to pre-order print and digital copies of the book, along with a few exclusive campaign items ranging from signed books to journals to live, interactive workshops! Head over to the Wilted Pages Kickstarter now, as funding closes on March 31, at which point some of the exclusive merch is gone forever!

Wilted Pages will be released in September 2023.
