Cover Reveal – I AM AI

Today we are revealing the cover for Ai Jiang‘s sci-fi novelette, I AM AI.

I AM AI - Ai Jiang

“Moving, brilliant, and certified 100% human. Moments from now, this book will break, steal, and win your heart.” –Samit Basu, author of Turbulence

If you have the opportunity to give up humanity for efficiency, mechanical invincibility, and to surpass human limitations. . . would you?

In Ai’s forthcoming novelette, she’s a cyborg, working under the guise of an AI writing program, who struggles to keep up with the never-blinking city of Emit as it threatens to leave all those like her behind.

The cover for I AM AI was designed by Chun Yan Zhang, Ai Jiang, and Alan Lastufka, with a featured blurb quote from Samit Basu.

Chun Yan Zhang is Ai’s mother and she did the initial sketch and watercolor portrait painting. This was scanned in and digitally edited by Ai herself before Alan added the title treatment and other typography.

This kind of author/author’s family/publisher cover art collaboration is a first for Shortwave, and we are so excited to feature Ai and her mother’s work here.

Pre-Orders

Pre-orders are now available for the paperback (direct from our shop) and the eBook (Amazon Kindle). Additional retailers will be added in the near future.

I AM AI will be released worldwide on June 20, 2023.
